SMSF Administration Service

Once your fund is established or transferred to Catalyst Super, we will manage the ongoing administration of the fund and also assist with the fund’s regulatory obligations, including:

  • Establishing and maintaining all records and books of account
  • Recording member and employer contributions and their tax components
  • Providing investment summary reports, general ledger reports and tax reconciliation reports
  • Access to the online portfolio reporting system
  • Calculating any applicable tax in regard to lump sum benefit payments
  • Calculating benefit payments
  • Maintenance of member fund information
  • Preparation of annual financial statements
  • Preparation and lodgment of the fund’s annual income tax return
  • Preparation and lodgment of the fund’s annual regulatory return
  • Arranging the annual independent audit of the fund (completed by an external auditor)
  • Preparation of minutes/resolutions of trustee/member meetings
  • Unlimited telephone support

The following are not included in our standard administration service:

  • Preparation or amendment of the fund’s investment strategy
  • Provision of consulting/strategic advice
  • Provision of investment advice
  • Provision of actuarial advice
  • Amendments/upgrades to the trust deed to ensuring that it is up to date and compliant
  • Preparation and lodgment of superannuation surcharge forms and Business Activity Statements (BAS) or Instalment Activity Statements (IAS) (as required)
  • Preparation of pension commencement documentation
  • Preparation of pension commutation documentation
  • Preparation of documentation to redress compliance deficiencies
  • Maintenance of corporate trustee
  • Mailbox service (using Catalyst Super as the primary address for all correspondence).

Any of the above supplementary services can be provided at additional cost.
